A Win, A Loss, and a Thing of Cost

Apparently, I am all about the linky parties these days. I can't help myself...they are just so fun! Today, I'm linking up with Digital: Divide and Conquer and Third Grade Galore to tell about a win, a loss, and a thing of cost.

A WIN

We are in Pennsylvania right now, visiting my husband's family for a few days. It has been so relaxing, and I am really enjoying myself. I actually got to sleep until 8:30 the other morning, and yesterday afternoon, I (gasp!) took a 2 hour nap! As any parent of young children knows, sleep is precious, and I will gladly take it when and where I can get it!

Yesterday, we took the kiddos to the local zoo, and they had a blast!

Whoever runs this zoo is a genius. You buy food to feed the animals when you walk in the gate, and the first pen you come to is filled with hungry and adorable deer. Deedle and Princess A fed the deer all of the their food in less than five minutes.

I wanted to put this teeny tiny pony in my pocket and take it home with me. It's just the right size for Deedle!

A LOSS

I am with Third Grade Galore. While I have lots of creative ideas for the upcoming school year, I haven't actually started creating a stinking thing. In my defense, we have been traveling almost constantly since summer started. Maybe once we're home and settled, I'll motivate to get some things done.

A THING OF COST

I blogged about this earlier in the week, but I'm going to say it again: I am so doggone excited about my new blog design! I bought it on Tuesday, and it is supposed to be installed (for free!) in 24-48 hours...so, I'm really hoping that today is the day!

I mean, seriously. How cute???

One more thing of cost (because goodness knows, I like to buy, buy, buy!): I bought this adorable iPhone cover from Etsy the other day:

I'm usually a polka dots kind of gal, but I decided to branch out and give the chevron a go.

While my kiddos and husband are out on the four-wheeler, picking raspberries, I think I'll go pour another cup of coffee and get back to enjoying the peace and quiet that is my in-laws' front porch.

Happy Fourth of July!

  1. Thanks so much for linking up with us.
We've got a local zoo/rescue center right next to us. It is great, luckily you cna't feed the animals otherwise my kids would run out of food faster than yours. Or they'd get attacked...either one is bound to happen with mine.

Good luck with the blog design. I've been thinking about going that route but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Fingers crossed it happens for you today.

    Thanks for stopping in!

  2. I love the look of your blog. Doesn't Dreamlike Magic do nice work? I know all about the nap! I can usually get my one year old and four year old to nap at the same time. That's also my naptime! Thanks for linking up.
