Well, Christmas has come and gone, and we're on our way back to Maryland. On our road trip so far, we have dealt with a sick child (regurgitated smoothie from Starbucks is twelve different kinds of gross) and a major snowstorm. We made the decision to leave today instead of tomorrow because the weather forecast in Pennsylvania called for a winter storm. We thought we'd leave early and get ahead of it. We thought wrong; we are driving an average of 30 mph and the snow is coming in sideways. It is downright dangerous; we are all very grateful for our four-wheel drive!
I'll update about Christmas when we're home safe and sound.
